Lyra Belacqua Silvertongue is going on seventeen. She is mostly through her awkward stage, and beginning to become graceful. She knows how to take care of her long blonde hair, but if she has a choice, she will let it hang tangled. A spotty formal education leaves her accent moving unsteadily between street-child and Oxford scholar. She is always accompanied by a red-gold pine marten named Pantalaimon. (Pan is, roughly speaking, Lyra's embodied soul. It is recommended that you don't try to touch him unless (a) you're an animal or (b) you're having sex with Lyra.)
